Adolfo Baez - Legend of Zelda Super Epic Medley

Adolfo made this as a 25th anniversary tribute to LoZ last year. I previously posted his Evolution of Video Games Epic Medley, also made in Mario Paint Composer.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim (X360, PS3, PC; 2011) - ‘Tale of the Tongues (cover)’

Judith de los Santos (Malukah) is back with another pretty amazing Skyrim cover.

Super Spike V’Ball (NES, 1989) - “Los Angeles theme”

All this London 2012 Olympic Beach Volleyball has brought back memories of playing Super Spike V’Ball back in the day. That game has always stood out to me as one of the better NES games. And the NES chiptune melodies from it really stand out.

The game was made by the same guys who made Double Dragon and River City Ransom. If I recall correctly, you can play as the two characters from Double Dragon!

Lindsey Stirling - “Zelda Medley (violin)”

According to Kotaku, an olympic gymnast used this piece as part of her London 2012 Olympic qualification floor routine. But she didn’t do too well. :/ Still, a very nice medley.

Fez (X360, 2012) - “Majesty”

Best track from this game. A simple yet touching tune.

The Black Mages - “Dancing Mad”
From Final Fantasy VI (SNES, 1994)

The epicness and variation of this prog rock/metal tune is surprisingly worthy of Dream Theater if you ask me.

Final Fantasy VIII (PS1, 1998) - “Premonition”

Obviously, I’ve been listening to a lot of FF8 music recently (from the maestro Nobuo Uematsu). Here’s one of my favorites.

If you’re interested, there’s a Wikipedia page devoted to the music of FF8.

The Black Mages - “Force Your Way”
From Final Fantasy VIII (PS1, 1998)

That’s what has been missing on this blog: some Black Mages stuff! This is the boss theme from FF8.

NightShader1 - “Find Your Way (keyboard cover)”
From Final Fantasy VIII (PS1, 1998)

NightShader1 has a ton of awesome keyboard covers of game music. Check out his Youtube channel.

Mega Man 5 (NES, 1992) - Napalm Man stage theme
