Xenogears (PS, 1998) - Singing of the Gentle Wind

Ocarinas and video game melodies go together, eh? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was my (and probably many other gamers’) first exposure to the instrument. Now, here we have Youtube contributor Heathersocarina playing a great, pure video game melody from the cult JRPG Xenogears on an ocarina. Xenogears, like so many Squaresoft (now Square-Enix) games of the 1990s, boasts an exemplary soundtrack. 

It’s crazy how good this sounds on that instrument. Naturally, she also has a few Legend of Zelda ocarina videos.
